Preview – ‘The Danish Girl’

Those of us who thought that Eddie Redmayne’s portrayal of physicist Stephen Hawking in last year’s “The Theory of Everything” couldn’t be topped may have been mistaken.  Now, the Academy Award winner is about to embark on an even more challenging and rich true story about a married man trapped his entire life in the body of a woman.

“The Danish Girl” has been the topic of Oscar talk since March.  Oscar winner Tom Hooper (for “The King’s Speech” and “Les Miserables“) directs this transgender story of the first person to undergo sexual reassignment surgery.

Ex Machina” and “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” stunner Alicia Vikander co-stars.

Role the tape….

Indeed, The Game played between Redmayne and Vilander gets serious.  Very serious.

Bound to keep its Oscar chatter going, “The Danish Girl” opens in theaters on November 27th.
